My birthday is coming up and I am moved by the situation of persons around the world who are fighting to survive. People who will get absolutely nothing for *their* birthday.
I came myself seeking asylum to Sweden in 1970 and work today with young Afghans and Syrians which makes me particularly sensitive to the sufferings of the refugees.
It would warm my heart if you would join me in being useful (more than any gift you could buy). May be you're not a close friend but perhaps today is a good day to give a little?
